Meet the couple :

Orlando and Lisa are two incredibly hardworking and compassionate individuals who share a deep love for helping others. Lisa works as a home health aide, finding joy and purpose in caring for those in need. Orlando serves as a 911 operator and dispatcher for the City of Beverly, offering calm and support to people in their most vulnerable moments.

Beyond their dedication to others, they share a soft spot for animals and are proud dog parents to Kermit and Sadie, who bring endless love and laughter into their lives.

In their free time, you’ll find them simply enjoying each other’s company — whether it's a quiet evening at home or a spontaneous adventure. They’ve built a bond rooted in trust and unwavering support, lifting each other up through illness, challenges, and life’s best moments. Whatever life brings, they go through it hand in hand — always, together.

Our Story :

 

Orlando and Lisa first connected through mutual friends, Elizabeth and Kyle Cutone. Their paths finally crossed in person in May 2021 at Deer Island in Winthrop, MA. It was there that they truly met — Lisa introduced Orlando to her beloved dog, Sadie, and they spent time together by the water, enjoying the fresh air and good company.

After their walk, Orlando took Lisa to one of his favorite spots in Malden: Waitts Mountain. With a beautiful view spread out before them, Orlando turned to Lisa and asked if she'd like to go to dinner with him. She said yes — and their first official dinner date was at Yard House in Lynnfield.

The connection between Orlando and Lisa was instant. It felt like meeting someone they had known forever. From that moment on, they became inseparable, spending every free moment together. Orlando describes Lisa as not just his fiancée, but his best friend. For Lisa, Orlando was everything she had been looking for — the one who checked every box and then some. She knew she wanted to spend the rest of her life with him.

On the evening of May 25, 2021, as the sun set over Deer Island — the same place where their journey began — Orlando brought Lisa back to that special spot. Sitting on a bench overlooking the water, he asked her to be his girlfriend. Lisa said yes, and the rest is history.

Our Proposal:

On September 2, 2023, Orlando planned a special outing to Halibut Point in Rockport, MA — a place filled with natural beauty and ocean views. As the sun began to dip over the Gulf of Maine around 6:15 PM, Orlando knelt down, pretending to check a small injury on his foot.

Lisa glanced down, concerned — only to be met with the sight of Orlando holding a ring, looking up with love in his eyes. In that perfect moment, he asked her to spend forever with him.

And of course… Lisa said yes.
